Two-year-olds will step into the ring from 11.00am on Tuesday 6 October, starting with Lot 1, a half to Group 1 winner Bel Sprinter from the draft of Wingara Thoroughbreds. The son of Redoute’s Choice is out of Snippets mare Gavroche, and showcased his professional stride on the Soft 6-rated track at Cranbourne last month.

Lot 84 (pictured) from the draft of Chevaux Bloodstock is a notable entry that has enjoyed recent updates to its pedigree. The colt by I Am Invincible sped across the Canterbury grass last month, and is the half-brother to Godolphin’s juvenile Haptic that is now Group 3-placed.

Lot 81 from Chevaux Bloodstock is the brother to city-winning three-year-old Magic Alibi, and Lot 35 from the Vinery Stud draft is the half-brother to Chris Waller’s promising three-year-old colt Wudang Mountain, which won in town earlier this season and lines up in the Listed ATC Dulcify Quality at Royal Randwick on Saturday.

Woodside Park Stud will present Lot 95, which strode out strongly in his breeze up at Cranbourne, is a brother to exciting South African filly Superwoman, which won on debut at Vaal.

The Star Ready2Race graduates continue to make their mark on the racetrack in Australasia and Asia, with big spring aims for many of last year’s graduates including Tatoosh, Sally’s Mustang and Odyssey Moon.

Tatoosh (Beneteau x Miss Columbus), which has been runner-up in his last three Group 3 starts, is due to line up in the $500,000 Group 1 ATC Spring Champion Stakes on Saturday week. Passed in for $35,000 at the 2014 The Star Ready2Race Sale, the son of Beneteau has already earned over $150,000 prizemoney under the guidance of trainer Paul Perry for Bene Racing.

“He went through the sale and we picked him up later and now we can’t believe our luck. He’s the best horse I’ve ever owned,” said Bene Racing’s managing owner Mick Milford.

“He is amazingly tough, so we’re not ruling out a trip to Melbourne after the Group 1 (Spring Champion Stakes),” Milford said.

Shaune Ritchie’s $60,000 two-year-old purchase Sally’s Mustang (Nicconi x Think Fast) puts her unbeaten record on the line in the Group 3 Hawke's Bay Gold Trail Stakes in New Zealand on Saturday. Chevaux Bloodstock will be following the result closely, for they are set to offer her half-brother by Star Witness as Lot 80 at this year’s Ready2Race Sale.

“My stable holds this filly in high regard and we expect her to be quite competitive in the Group 3 tomorrow,” said Ritchie.

“Her ultimate goal for the spring is the Group 1 Thousand Guineas in November, and all going well we’d love to bring her back to Sydney for The Championships in the autumn,” Ritchie said.

After a commendable two-year-old year where he posted five Group performances and over $400,000 in prizemoney, the Rod Northam-trained Odyssey Moon (Snitzel x Run To The Moon) will line up in Saturday week’s Group 1 MRC Caulfield Guineas.

“We are very pleased with his preparation so far. We’ve been aiming him for the Caulfield Guineas and we’re sure he will be 100% by next Saturday,” said Northam.

"He has done all the right things the whole way along and we're looking forward to a good result in the Guineas to cap off this prep for him," Northam said.

Online bidding will be available at The Star Ready2Race Sale, and the sale will be broadcast on Inglis Sale Day Live. Requests for bidding approval should be made HERE by 4pm Friday to ensure applications can be processed before the start of the sale.
