Weanlings Go Under The Hammer In Sydney Tomorrow

Sunday 4 May marks the start of the 2014 Inglis Australian Broodmare and Weanling Sale in Sydney, with 219 weanlings catalogued to be offered on the opening day tomorrow.

Weanlings purchased from under the famous Moreton Bay Fig Tree at Inglis’ Newmarket complex have an outstanding performance record for both pinhookers and those looking to buy to race.

Various select yearling sale toppers have been pinhooked from Sydney Weanling Sales in recent years.

Graduates of Inglis’ Weanling Sales in Sydney have also gone to stakes success in all of Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore and South Africa in the past few seasons.

Another first class selection of weanlings by Australia’s leading sires are made available to buyers this Sunday, including Fastnet Rock, Exceed And Excel, Snitzel, Lonhro, Stratum, Choisir, Street Cry, Bernardini, Northern Meteor, Sebring, High Chaparral and I Am Invincible.

Pinhookers, trainers and owners will also get first look at the stock of first season sires So You Think, Foxwedge, Sepoy, Helmet, Smart Missile, Master Of Design, Dream Ahead, Canford Cliffs, Gio Ponti, Uncle Mo, Pluck and Poet’s Voice.

Australia’s headline breeding stock sale has been heavily supported by many leading nurseries such as Blue Gum Farm, Coolmore Stud, Edinburgh Park, Edinglassie Stud, Emirates Park, Grange Thoroughbreds, Hillside Thoroughbreds, Holbrook Thoroughbreds, Lustre Lodge, Macquarie Stud, Middlebrook Valley Lodge, Reavill Farm, Rheinwood Pastoral, Swettenham Stud, Three Bridges Thoroughbreds, Torryburn Stud, Turangga Farm and Yarraman Park Stud.
