Stakes-winning 4YO gelding Zoutenant topped the Inglis Spring Thoroughbred Sale, selling for $34,000 to a Dubbo-based client of Inglis.

On a perfect spring day, buyers were keen to purchase, ensuring the sale’s clearance rate finished at a healthy 89 per cent.

Zoutenant, a restricted Listed winner and Group 2-placed gelding, had won $257,375 from 15 career starts heading into the sales ring.

In total, 36 horses sold at an average of $7581.

Emirates Park was the leading vendor, selling all six of their draft.
