Champion sire Fastnet Rock posted a winning double at Bendigo on Wednesday with a couple of blue-blooded three year-olds, both a product of Newgate Farm.

A $1.2million price for Golden Slipper winner Polar Success highlighted a successful opening to the 2009 Inglis Australian Weanling & Breeding Stock Sale, where close to $6million was traded.

The strong competition at the William Inglis Australian Broodmare Sale continued on Day 2 today, with the overall sale gross well up on last year.
