Bella Nipotina tonight became the equal third-most expensive mare ever sold in the Southern Hemisphere when realising $4.2m on a record-breaking evening at the Chairman’s Sale.
Superstar mare Amelia’s Jewel (Siyouni), a G1 winner of over $4.1m in prizemoney, will join what is already a stellar cast for the Inglis Chairman’s Sale to be held at Riverside Stables in Sydney on May 8.
She was the centre of attention in the lead-up and Burnewang North’s Frankel x Vedema filly didn’t disappoint, setting multiple new benchmarks on a record-breaking Day 1 of the Great Southern Sale at Oaklands.
The most successful Classic Sale in history ended this evening with multiple records smashed and a huge cross-section of participants on both sides of the industry ledger enjoying remarkable outcomes.
884 quality Lots have been catalogued for the extended Inglis Australian Broodmare and Weanling Sale, which is now available online. Now a four day event, the sale will run on 3, 4, 5 and 6 May 2015 at Inglis Newmarket complex in Sydney.
