The highs and lows of racing were highlighted at Caulfield on Saturday when the Listed MRC Testa Rossa Stakes was won by five year-old gelding Amaethon, a half-brother to ill-fated Golden Slipper winner Crystal Lily, who died tragically on Friday morning.
Inglis three-year-olds Manawanui and Big Time were all the talk at Rosehill today, while the victory of Amaethon at Caulfield proved a small consolation for connections who sadly lost the galloper’s half-sister Crystal Lily yesterday.
The value buying to be had at the Inglis Melbourne Autumn Yearling Sale at Oaklands was underlined at Seymour today, with $15,000 purchase Jill’s Angel taking out the $100,000 Inglis Autumn Plate.
