Inglis Classic and Ready2Race Sale star Libertad (Russian Revolution) put the seal on a future stud career and scored the first Group 1 success in the colours of Trilogy Racing with a stirring victory in Saturday’s Winterbottom Stakes over 1200m at Ascot.
The hard-working Stepitup claimed his second Group win within a fortnight when he took out Sunday’s $300,000 Group 2 Chairman’s Trophy in his customary tradesman fashion to hand trainer Laurie Laxon his fifth success in that feature race over 1800m.
