The upcoming Inglis Classic Autumn Book and the Inglis HTBA Scone Yearling Sale are the last two opportunities in 2015 to secure a yearling that is eligible to be nominated for the lucrative $5 million Inglis Race Series.
For a one off nomination fee, the series offers bonuses on a multitude of races, along with valuable Inglis Select races in both Victoria and New South Wales. Trainers, jockeys, owners, vendors and suppliers are all beneficiaries of the Inglis Race Series.
A $50,000 Vendor Bonus and $50,000 Seller Bonus* will be offered on the boosted $500,000 Inglis Nursery at Randwick in December this year.
Trainers don’t miss out with a $50,000 bonus paid to the trainer with the most wins in each series, and a pair of $3,000 Swarovski Optik EL 42 Swarovision binoculars is provided to the winning trainer of Inglis Select Races. Winning connections and jockeys of these races also receive some enviable Antler Luggage.
One such trainer who was rewarded by the program is Jeff Englebrecht, who saddled Lady Jivago (Beneteau x Hussterics) to win the $250,000 Restricted Listed Inglis Classic at Rosehill earlier this year. A $14,000 purchase in June last year at the 2014 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale from the draft of Luskin Park, the filly has won two of her three career starts.
The 2015 Inglis Classic Autumn Book will begin at 11am Friday, 8 May with 94 Lots to go under the hammer. Vendors supporting the sale include Bowness Stud, Goodwood Farm, Macquarie Stud, Chatsworth Park and Think Big Stud. The sale will be followed by the Inglis May Thoroughbred Sale, to be held the same day, for which entries will be accepted until 5pm this Friday 1 May.
The Inglis HTBA Scone Yearling Sale will be the final chance to secure an eligible yearling, with 209 Lots going under the hammer on Sunday 17 May at White Park, following the Scone Race Club’s two-day stand-alone carnival on Friday 15 and Saturday 16 May.
Proven sires represented in the Scone catalogue include Medaglia d’Oro, More Than Ready, Choisir, I Am Invincible, Beneteau, Nicconi, Myboycharlie, Haradasun and Time Thief, the sire of Canberra Guineas winner and Scone graduate Rom Baro.
Exciting first season sires with progeny on offer at Scone include Foxwedge, Sepoy, So You Think, Dream Ahead, Smart Missile, Helmet, Gio Ponti, Benfica, Zoffany and Pluck.
The much anticipated $400,000 RL 3YO Inglis Guineas over 1400m, won last year by subsequent Group 1 winner Cosmic Endeavour, will be run Saturday 16 May at Scone Race Club’s standalone meeting. The most up to date order of entry can be viewed HERE.
For 2YO’s, the Murrumbidgee Turf Club will host the next $50,000 Inglis Bonus this Thursday 30 April in Wagga Wagga NSW. 13 of the 17 acceptors are eligible for the lucrative Inglis Bonus on the 2YO Open Handicap over 1200m.
