Results have been finalised from the 2016 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale where 437 yearlings have been sold to 213 buyers, many forming new partnerships to race at the highest level.
140 Lots have been catalogued for the 2015 Inglis December Thoroughbred Sale, to be held on Friday 11 December at the Inglis Oaklands Complex in Melbourne. The first Lot will walk through the ring at 11.00am beginning with broodmares and followed by yearlings, unbroken stock and racing stock.
Uniquely, the Widden Stud in the Widden Valley, a spur off the south western end of the Hunter Valley, has two young sires in its historic stallion yards shaping up very good winner-getters who were not only brilliant Group 1 winning Australian racehorses, but also performers who turned in good efforts in one of England’s most prestigious sprints, the King’s Stand at Royal Ascot.
The record books were rewritten in Sydney this week with the 2015 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale Summer Book setting new benchmarks. The year on year average has risen 20 per cent, the median up 15 per cent and sale gross up an impressive 47 per cent.
Five sires, all Australian products who have captured the annual Champion Australian Sire title on earnings, will be among the mouthwatering collection of at least 70 which will be shown to invited disciples of breeding and racing when Hunter Valley studs conduct their pre season Stallion Parades in the period August 21-25.
