A new Victorian weanling record highlighted a strong Day 1 of the 2017 Melbourne Great Southern Sale at Oaklands Junction.

Over 80 outstanding prospects set to be offered at the Inglis Sydney Ready 2 Race Sale were put through their paces on the course proper at Canterbury on Wednesday, recording some slick times ahead of their auction on Thursday 3 October 2013.

Melbourne Rehabilitation horse trainer Peter Clarke led "The Princess" off the horse truck and mentioned casually that her friends were looking forward to seeing her after a long absence.
