It was a record-setting day for magnificent mare Pride Of Jenni at Flemington today as she became the first horse to win multiple renewals of the G1 Empire Rose Stakes at Flemington with a breathtaking front-running victory.
Outstanding mare Joliestar (Zoustar) secured a third career G1 victory with a staggering come-from-behind victory in today’s Kingsford Smith Cup at Eagle Farm.
Enriched – one of the best-bred colts in Australian racing – enhanced his reputation as a future stallion prospect when winning today’s G2 $1m Arrowfield 3YO Sprint at Randwick.
Moments after he’d ridden a young, unnamed colt which was still being educated, trainer Matt Laurie declared to those closest to him that he’d win the G1 Inglis Sires as a 2YO.
Top-class 3YO filly Too Darn Lizzie, one of the best of her generation, is the latest addition to the already stellar cast for The Chairman’s Sale at Riverside on May 8.
