The 16th foal of the stakes-winning Bletchingly mare Tennessee Morn, 5-year-old Magnus gelding Malaguerra added a second Group 1 to his CV when holding off rising sprint star Spieth in Saturday's $1million Darley Classic (1200m) at Flemington.

Inglis graduates’ domination of the big races at Flemington in Melbourne Cup week continued today when Malaguerra won the Group 1 Darley Classic (1200m) and Jessy Belle claimed the Group 2 Matriarch Stakes (2000m).

The astute eye of James Harron paid dividends again today when his flashy two-year-old colt Attention (Stratum x Flamboyance), took out the Group 3 ATC Schweppervescence Stakes over 1400m at Rosehill. Under the expert guidance of trainers Peter and Paul Snowden, a confident ride by Blake Shinn saw the colt stay well on the speed and hit the line strongly.

With three weeks until yearlings arrive at Newmarket, stakes wins on both sides of the Tasman Sea today highlighted the outstanding opportunities available for all buyers at the upcoming Inglis Easter Yearling Sale, to be held on 5, 6 and April.
