Buyer competition continued strongly on the third day of selling at the 2016 Inglis Australian Broodmare and Weanling Sale at Newmarket, building the clearance rate to an impressive 88% with local, interstate and overseas investors all adding to a diverse buying bench.
The much talked about 2016 Inglis Broodmare catalogue brought out a red hot buying bench with 90% of lots sold on Day Two of the Australian Broodmare and Weanling Sale, headlined by the unreserved dispersals of Bell View Park Stud and Bell River Thoroughbreds.
Inspections are underway at Oaklands ahead of the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale, and prospective buyers are finding even more to love about Victoria’s headline yearling sale following an abundance of pedigree updates and the announcement that the sale will be broadcast on Free-To-Air Television on Channel 78 via the sale’s official television broadcaster Racing.com
The Broodmare Session concluded on the third day of the 2015 Inglis Great Southern Sale, grossing $2,290,900 on 196 Lots sold. Following the trend set by the Weanling Sessions, strong increases were recorded across key metrics.
Day Two of the 2015 Inglis Great Southern Sale saw a continuation of impressive results through to the completion of the Weanling Sessions, and a promising start to the Broodmare Session. A further 42 Platinum weanlings were sold today, taking the average for that session to $24,368 across a total of 192 Lots. 78 General weanlings were sold grossing $539,950, taking the average price for weanlings across both sessions to a record $19,329.
