The 2006 Inglis Premier Sale Session I wrapped-up in spectacular fashion at Oaklands today, with the expected strong trade materialising to bring record-breaking figures, including a new sale best price of $570,000 for a half-sister to the VRC Oaks winner SERENADE ROSE (2004 Easter $400,000).
The 2005 June Thoroughbred Sale concluded at Oaklands Junction yesterday, with 553 horses selling for gross receipts of $5,481,450, at an average price of $9,912 and an excellent clearance rate of 87%.
The strength of yesterday’s opening session of the 2005 June Weanling Sale continued today, with a total of 304 weanlings overall selling for a new record gross of $3,314,554 and a record average price of $10,903, up 15% on last year.
